On Tuesday the 28th of May, right after practice, we met up with Mr. Pifforo at the Cemetery in Gonzales to help put up Flag Poles.
Every Memorial Day the cemetery is lined with Flags to honor the veterans who have served and made Gonzales their final resting place. It’s a tradition that has stood for a long time and we’re honored to be a part of it.
On Memorial Day, the boy scouts are going to put up the flags on the poles. Later on that day, Shield Bearers and GHS Football players are going to put away the flags and bring down the poles.
We are proud to have found an opportunity for our players to honor their veterans.
